The Recipe for Chimichurri

The Chimichurri is a traditional salsa that is important to Argentines; this salsa goes perfectly with grilled steak, chorizo sausages or beef, which they are very fond of! This salsa is easy to make at home, it is based on garlic, parsley, vinegar and a few more ingredients... easy to make but to achieve the perfect argentinian taste it will take a few trials...


* 1 bunch parsley, chopped
* 5 garlic cloves finely minced
* 1/4 chopped red bell pepper
* 1 chopped green chile (optional)
* 1 tsp oregano
* 1 tsp cumin
* 1 pinch of bay leaf, basil, rosemary or thyme
* 1/2 cup olive oil
* 1/4 cup vinegar
* 1 pinch of salt
* 1 pinch ground black pepper preparation

Pour all of these ingredients into a bowl, mix well. Allow all the various ingredients' aromas to combine, leaving your salsa to marinate for 2-3 hours. You can save it in a jar and refrigerate.
Use Chimichurri on meats, poultry, fish, pasta and salads.
